The NC Model Salary Scale: NCICDP Compensation Toolkit and Trainings

This toolkit, developed by the North Carolina Institute for Child Development Professionals (NCICDP), provides compensation information and resources for anyone working with and within early care and education (ECE) programs (both center-based and home-based) to provide them with resources on implementing a compensation salary scale. As ECE programs struggle to attract and retain qualified staff, salary scales provide an effective strategy to recruit and retain an educated workforce. The toolkit and accompanying trainings will help participants with the application and implementation of a salary scale and enable them to utilize the toolkit resources to assist others in implementing a salary scale in a child care program.
