This evaluation report provides state leaders and other partners across the ECE field with a roadmap for using the Center’s Communities for Action (CFA) model of cohort-based technical assistance to drive early care and education (ECE) systems change. It shares how 12 states built action plans to recognize competencies gained through experience as part of their efforts to build stronger, more equitable career pathways. Read the report for how the CFA model can help teams move beyond daily operations to focus on long-term goals, examples of states leveraging the Center’s ECE Workforce Systems Change Framework to identify specific drivers of change that support their goals, and to access the key lessons we learned from guiding state teams through this work.
